A Windy Day

THE STORY:

Clair stepped out of the little white farm house just as the Chronicles of a Hero trailer rolled through the gate. She smiled joyously, shouting back into the house. "They're here!" She quickly made her way down the walk way, standing at the barn door.

Clair had never seen such a stunning QH in her life. She sighed, thanking God that he was even more beautiful in person than he was in the pictures.

"We are so glad you allowed us to breed to Du Shane. Thank you so much!"

She rushed to the back of the trailer, taking the lead rope from Du Shane's handler. She stroked his smooth black face, her smile wider than the clear Oregon skies. She was so fixated on the black stallion, she didn't realize her husband had arrived and was discussing arrangements for the stud.

"He'll be outside, in the visitors paddock. We would like to keep him and Wind together for a few days, to make sure she is fully covered." His dancing eyes turned to his wife, his smile soft as he saw his wife's dreams playing out.

"Wind is already in the pasture, cleaned and prepped. Why don't you take Du Shane down to say hello darling?"

Clair scampered off like a young girl, the dancing stallion trailing paitently behind her. She walked down the graveled alley way, cooing to the stud. As they reached the gate of the pasture, the studs ears perked.

"She's a pretty girl don't you think? Now you be a good boy. It's her first time."

She stepped into the gate, leading the ebony horse through. Wind's head shot up high, her Arabian features clear as day. Clair undid the halter, releasing the stallion into the grassy pasture. He trotted eagerly towards Wind, his movements showy.

"They will make a very pretty baby" Said Clair, her smile so bright it could have riviled the sun.

YAY!!! Breeding between WYM Windy Eclipse, and CoH Du Shane. What an exciting day! Everyone is doing these little stories, so I thought I would show off my writing skills too!
